General Library Rules and Regulations: Proper Conduct Inside the Library

  1. Library users shall observe and follow all the library policies, rules, and regulations stipulated in the Library Handbook.
  2. Idle conversation, loud laughter, and other unnecessary noise that can disturb the clientele must be avoided. Talking out of necessity must be done in subdued tones.
  3. Eating, and playing games using their gadgets are not allowed inside the library.
  4. The library is a drug-free and smoke-free area.
  5. Cellular phones, tablets, laptops, and music players are permitted in the SICC Library; however, these must be switched to a silent mode and must not disturb other library users.
  6. Urgent phone calls should be done outside the library.
  7. Courtesy must be practiced in the library especially when borrowing or returning books and other materials.
  8. The ID cards of the library violators shall be confiscated and be referred to the Office of Students‟ Affairs for disciplinary action.
  9. The SICC library is a place for study and research. Your cooperation to maintain a silent, quiet, orderly, and clean environment is very much appreciated.
